# Criterion B.12 - Final restitution and conclusion of the approach

The Bilan Carbone® method places particular importance on the presentation of results and the approach followed. The objective of this presentation is to share the work carried out with teams and management. It is also the appropriate moment to dedicate specific time to the transition plan, the GHG emissions reduction strategy, and recommendations for future improvements.

Candidate tools wishing to be assessed as compliant with the Bilan Carbone® method are therefore expected to dedicate this specific time to presenting the approach followed. It will be evaluated in particular whether the following elements are included:

* a reminder of the energy and climate challenges
* a reminder of the method followed (in particular Bilan Carbone®): data collection; internal resources mobilised; cross-functional awareness raising carried out with teams; emission factors used, assumptions made
* a presentation of GHG emission results by category and sub-category, with the necessary focus areas
* a presentation of the transition plan, the objectives set and the associated strategy
* recommendations for improvements for future assessments (improving the data collection process, reducing uncertainty, increased awareness raising, indicators for monitoring and steering, etc.)
* time dedicated to climate and transition risks, in order to emphasise once again the link between adaptation and mitigation.

In the context of tools designed for "project" or "product" purposes, it will be expected that these provide a presentation framework summarising in a concise manner the calculation method and associated assumptions as well as the alternatives considered.

Thus, it will be verified whether the tool integrates dedicated time for the presentation throughout the user journey, drawing either on the support of an external expert with competence in carbon accounting, or on resources enabling users to build and facilitate this time.
