# Criterion C.4 - Consistency of the transition plan

Once an organization has defined its reduction objectives and its action plan, a consistency-checking step must be carried out to validate the intended trajectory.

This step aims to guarantee the effectiveness and credibility of the emissions reduction approach, by aligning the reduction objective with its operational translation represented by the action plan.

In this way, it will be possible to identify weaknesses in the action plan or, conversely, to identify limits in the envisaged decarbonization potential. Emphasis can then be placed on different aspects of the action plan, aimed at maximizing the reduction potential of actions or at continuing the strategic thinking that allows going as far as possible in decarbonizing the activity by activating levers that were potentially not initially identified.

This consistency check therefore serves as a progress milestone for monitoring the improvement of the Bilan Carbone® approach over time.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter:

```
GET https://www.bilancarbone-conformite.com/compliance-framework/compliance-referentials/chapitre-c-engagement-a-laction-significative/critere-c.4-coherence-du-plan-de-transition.md?ask=<question>
```

The question should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
