# Criterion D.6 - Participation in an evaluation approach

The Bilan Carbone® is a progress-oriented approach regarding greenhouse gases (GHG), both for reducing emissions and for assessing vulnerability and identifying transition risks and opportunities for its activities.

One of the fundamental aspects of this method is transparency throughout the entire calculation process, from the choice of boundaries to the means of communication with stakeholders.

The evaluation of a Bilan Carbone® thus guarantees the reliability of results. It also makes it possible to identify blocking points and areas for improvement between two assessments of an organisation.

As such, a tool can support its user in their evaluation process by helping them prepare the Bilan Carbone® deliverables required at the launch of an assignment and by enabling facilitated access for evaluators.
