Beyond compliance with the elements that characterise a Bilan Carbone® approach, the audit will also seek to analyse the communication, positions taken, and messages conveyed within the candidate tools as well as on their websites, blogs, social media, and even press articles discussing the tool.
These communication issues are essential to ensure the stakeholder engagement of all stakeholders in a relevant and lasting transition. It is therefore important that these be consistent with expert opinions on the low-carbon transition. In particular, the messages conveyed on carbon accounting (issues, objectives, etc.), on carbon neutrality, and on the place of carbon offsetting within the panel of actions available to organisations will be analysed.
